As a playwright I have the most passionate attachment for the drama theatre because it involves human fate in all its simplicity and grandeur. Showing the feelings in all its frenzy, illustrating the havoc it wreaks, bringing out its failure—such was my intention. I focused the plays on what seemed to me essential—to give the answer the question: "What is a Human Being?" I also included into this book a small collection of the philosophical fairy tales, carrying the same universal things as the plays. If the main goal of the play is to create an ultimate contact between a spectator (reader and the writer), the main goal of the fairy tale is to bring a reader "a food for brain." From another point of view—every fairy tale is also a small play, performed on the stage of life. The main goal of this book is to create a contact between a reader and the writer, to make a reader one of the characters of a play or a fairy tale. If I succeeded in creation of such unity,—it's the writer's royal reward.
